Graphite not toxic (not actual lead) but can cause GI blockage. Wood splinters from pencil barrel can puncture GI tract. Choking hazard.
Blockage symptoms within 12-24 hours

Remove pencil pieces. Check for splinters in mouth.
Vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, choking
Call vet if large pieces swallowed or blockage suspected.
