Pine needles and oils cause GI irritation, vomiting, and drooling. Pine oil is more toxic than needles. Can cause liver damage in large amounts.
Symptoms within 1-6 hours
Vomiting, drooling, diarrhea, depression, possible liver damage
Remove plant material. Rinse mouth if oils contacted. Monitor for symptoms.
Excessive drooling, persistent vomiting, difficulty walking, depression
Call vet if symptoms persist or worsen. May need liver monitoring if oils ingested.
