High doses of calcium can cause hypercalcemia, kidney stones, and constipation. Single tablet usually not serious but repeated doses problematic.
Symptoms within 6-24 hours if significant amount eaten
Hypercalcemia, constipation, vomiting, kidney issues
Note how many tablets eaten. Provide water. Call vet if more than 1-2 tablets.
Vomiting, constipation, excessive thirst, lethargy, loss of appetite
Call vet if multiple tablets consumed. May need bloodwork to check calcium levels.
